Extrusion process
During the extrusion process, granulate is melted in a transition section. An extrusion screw continuously presses the melt through a mold.
Most thermoplastics are produced by this kind of manufacturing process. Semi-finished products like rods, tubes, sheets and film, as well as finished profiles, can be produced by this process.
